Get to Know Dr. Wolsey:
I worked in public schools for twenty years teaching English and social studies. Prior to working with IAIE, he served as program director for all graduate literacy programs at a large mid-western university. Currently, my publications appear in The Journal of Educational Administration, Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, The Journal of Literacy Research and Instruction, and others. My books are published by Pearson, Corwin Press, Guilford Press, and Holcomb Hathaway. A book designed expressly for the digital environment came out from Holcomb Hathaway in 2013 with co-authors Beth Dobler and Denise Johnson. Two new books featuring graphic organizers as literacy learning tools were released in October 2014 by Corwin Press.
It was my honor to serve as co-editor of The California Reader with Dana L. Grisham, and with other colleagues in guest-edited issues of The Journal of Educational Administration, Reading and Writing Quarterly, and Teacher Education Quarterly. Recently, my article with Linda Smetana and Dana L. Grisham appeared in The Reading Teacher. I am a frequent guest speaker and curriculum developer for clients in Latin America and China on language learning topics. Reach me on the contact page, here.
